Trust & safety
How we keep listings honest, reviews real, and bad actors out.
Listing quality
Every park on Camp List has been touched by a human. New submissions go through editorial review before publishing — we check that the address resolves, the photos are original (or clearly credited), and that the description is factual.
Reviews and ratings
We don't invent reviews. Ratings shown on park pages come from park pages that have opted in to our verified review integration, or directly from stays we can confirm. We never edit or remove a genuine negative review — but we do remove reviews we can show are fabricated.
Reporting a problem
If a listing is misleading, a photo isn't yours, or a park has behaved unsafely toward you, email trust@camplist.us. Include the park URL and any evidence. We aim to respond within one business day.
Owner verification
When someone claims ownership of a listing, we verify by asking them to reply from an email at the park's domain, or to add a short verification token to the park's own website. This keeps rogue "claimers" out.
Data safety
See our privacy policy for exactly what we collect and how it's stored. Short version: hashed visit logs, no ad trackers, no data brokers.
